FytMate respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using our mobile app and website fytmate.com.
Minimum Age Requirement
FytMate is designed for adults aged 18 and older. While beginner-friendly routines are included, the primary functionality is self-directed. If you are under 18, do not use this app without verified parental consent and supervision.
YouTube API Services
FytMate uses YouTube API Services to display and play public videos. By using FytMate, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not download or store YouTube videos, do not block or interfere with YouTube advertisements, and do not remove or alter YouTube branding or player controls.
Google Sign-In (OAuth)
FytMate offers optional sign-in with Google to create and access your account. When you sign in with Google, we request the minimum scopes needed (email, profile). From Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image (if available) to create or update your FytMate profile and to authenticate you. We do not request sensitive scopes (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Calendar), do not sell your data, and do not use Google data for advertising without consent.
Access tokens and ID tokens are used only for authentication with our backend and are not shared with third parties except service providers necessary to operate the app. You may revoke FytMate’s access to your Google account at any time via https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Information We Collect
- Account: Email, name, and basic profile data (from sign-up or Google Sign-In).
- Mobile Number: Optional, for account recovery and support.
- Workout History: Exercise logs, sessions, sets/reps, progress.
- Nutrition & Habits: Food entries and lifestyle logs you add.
- Trainer Messages: In-app chat between connected users.
- Device & Diagnostics: Device/OS/app version, crash logs for stability.
- Device IDs: Anonymous identifiers for session management and security.
How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate your account and personalize your experience.
- Provide trainer-client features (limited sharing to linked accounts as needed).
- Improve app functionality, safety, and support.
- Analyze anonymized usage trends for product improvements.
- Process in-app purchases and retain transaction records.
Data Retention
- Subscribers: Workout and health data retained for up to 6 months.
- Free users: Data is permanently deleted within 14 days after completing a workout plan.
- Crash & diagnostics: Retained up to 6 months for debugging and analytics.
- Legal/Compliance: Minimal records may be retained if required by law or to resolve disputes.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase – authentication and secure database hosting.
- YouTube API – display and play videos.
- Google Fonts – typography.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. Some personal details (such as name and email) may be visible to other users only in trainer-client features.
Security
We use encrypted connections and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data. Internal access is strictly limited and monitored.
Your Rights & Choices
- Access/Correction/Deletion: Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
- Revoke Google Access: Use https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Notifications: Opt out of non-essential notifications.
- GDPR/CCPA: Request export or restriction of your data within the retention window.
Account & Data Deletion
To delete your account and associated data, email support@fytmate.com. Verified requests are processed within 7 business days.
